I promised to take the farmers 12 year old son out lamping and last night was the perfect night. I arrived to pick Joseph up at 8pm and we arrived at the fields at 8.15. It was a nice night for lamping plenty of wind with a little drizzle, although it wasn't as dark as i'd like but you can't have it all.

Vixen ran very well, but the trip was cut short and the heavens opened at 9.30 we managed 7. I dropped Joseph off at 10pm had a beer with the farmer and back home by 10.30. As i left all u could hear was Joseph asking his dad if he could have a whippet!!!! so he must have enjoyed his night out..

It's a pity the rain came down, as Vixen was running really well. I'm sure we'd have easily got double figures. We stayed out for 15 minutes in the heavy rain but the rabbits had all gone to ground.

I'll be out again in the week ferreting and lamping, if anyone wants any rabbits give me a shout as my 2 chest freezers are full to bursting!!!
