I know this is probably addressed somewhere.. However all my searches have yeilded nil....

I'm interest in doing some rabbit hunting with my two whippets..

What are the rules / Laws... ?

What are rules covering common land and hunting with dogs.??

What are rules covering moor land???

And what are the best times?? Early in the morning.. ? Late at night..??

Are there any people in the cornwall area that go out and would mind a novice tagging along.. ??

Any info would be great... thanks..

Give us a call Brad,am going ferretting up your way in the next couple of weekends.Or if you want ot go lamping one night we can arrange some thing.Lee

Main points of hunting

Permission by landowner

Right trained dog(i.e Broke to stock, obedience)

Lamping ideally Windy night with little or no moon.

Myself go out about 9:30 at night although the rabbits can be a bit easier too catch later on in night after they have had a good feed.

Sounds good I'll give you a ring and well see... The dogs haven't really been exposed to livestock.. So don't know how they'll react.....
