About 7 years ago, my friend and I headed out for a nights lamping in Monaghan, when we got there we got the dogs out of the trailer and started walking up the country lane.

It was pitch black and we heard a noise, I switched the lamp on put it beside my feet near a bank and there was 2 collie pups in a rabbit hole but evertime we went near them they went further down the rabbit hole. I switched off the lamp, my friend climbed on top of the bank and leaned over the rabbit hole, we waited for a minute or two I switched the lamp back on again and there was one of the pups with its head out of the hole.

My friend grabbed it and we done the same with the second pup. They were well fed with a good strong back on them. We went to nearby houses to see if we could discover anyone looking for them and there wasnt a sole in sight.

We put them in the trailer and took them home. My friend still has one of them today and his cousin has the other.

I wondered if the person who missplaced the dogs is a member of K9 and if so would you please leave a pair of whippet greyhounds there for me the next time? LOL (w00t)

Limerick Animal Welfare has recently found a whole litter of collie pups down a hole complete with Mum! Wonder if they are any relation?
