Recently have been given a couple of Filters for my lamp red + amber. I know there are other colours availible. What do people find there main uses for for?

As have heard red is good for foxes, And other colours for when the rabbits are abit lamp shy? Any advice.

:sweating: Please note any advice on lamping foxes must be Pre-ban experience :sweating:

I have used several colours and have found blue and amber to be best as the rabbits cant see these. I find blu best for foxes. (shooting them of coarse) :sweating:

I think in the end the rabbits get used to any colour, however if you keep changing the colour of the filter that may help, infact I may try this

tried red on rabbits the other night on a permission i have lee, and it worked they just sat there waiting to be caught, but it is harder for the dogs to see the rabbits i thought so a bit more training with different colour filters i think!

Red is the best for rabbit, I've always used it & it always comes up trumps! And don't forget to make a note of where you found them, stay down wind, keep quiet & don't smoke if your a smoker.

This is good advice - i would also say try and circulate your land a bit more - rabbits woudnt get lamp shy if you werent there all the time and they werent being shined all the time!
