LASS
Lass is a 2 year old greyhound girl who did not qualify for racing. She is a tall but slender girl with a black coat that is a bit lack lustre at the moment, but this will improve lots of good food and TLC.
Lass is a quiet little girl who finds kennel life a bit stressful. We would like to find her a home soon so that she can start to relax and let her true personality come out. In kennels she is friendly with people she knows but can be a bit shy and unsure of newcomers. Lass will come on beautifully though with the right owners and perhaps another doggie friend or two to help build her confidence.
Lass is good with our other greyhounds in the kennels and hasn’t caused any trouble in kennels. She has not been tested with small dogs or cats but these can be carried out prior to adoption if required. Often ex-racing greyhounds take a bit of socialisation work to realise smaller breeds are in fact dogs as they would never have seen them before.
Little Lass has not yet been in a home environment, so new owners will need to be a bit understanding during the first couple of weeks and allow her time to settle and get accustomed to the changes. It usually takes 10-14 days for new greyhounds to start to settle down in a home, and really all they need is a bit of time and patience.
This little girl is currently being kennelled in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Lass, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application and information pack. Thanks!
