anyone know the law concerning having your dogs in back of car while driving? gota do the south journey tuesday and just wondered, normally i just put the duvet on back seat and they dont move after walking them for a hour, manage to get to forton services m6 lancs big walk again then bang im there.

nae bother just checked the law, we have none, thought there would be.

I didn't think there was one.

I used to have a convertible Moris Minor and Blu used to sit in the front seat with her ears flapping in the breeze!

I did have a lead attached to the bottom of the seat as I was scared she might jump out if I stopped at traffic lights or something though

Your dog should be secured in the back with a fitted seatbelt, as much for your sake as its own. In an accident a dog can become a missile and cause injury or death. Mine travel in the rear behind a dog guard. We have a fitted tail guard as well in case of rear impact and possible escape on to a busy road. My dogs are too precious to put at risk.

yes i know all dogs are missiles, i havnt got a guard, they dont move a lot when exersized, oh by the way mine are special to me also but if your time is up its up, im a hgv driver, ive been driving nearly 30 years with dogs in back , but saying that you are right, just wanted a heads up on the law thats all tiger
