LEMON
Lemon is a 9 year old greyhound lady with a prettily marked fawn and white coat.
Dear little Lemon came to us in very bad condition, showing signs of having had a tough 9 years. She was riddled in fleas, had a urinary tract infection and had a heavy worm burden. Her coat was poor and lifeless and she didn't have much muscle tone. After a long bath and medication for the health issues, however, she soon perked up and her shine is starting to come back. She is now getting regular exercise and regular meals, and her little personality is starting to show up.
Little Lemon is a sweet old girl who doesnt require much to keep her more than happy. All she wants is a soft, warm bed and lots of good food and shes a very contented hound. She relishes getting affection, especially head rubs, and enjoys her daily ambles.
Lemon is currently in a foster home with children and several other dogs, including two terriers, and she is very tolerant of them. Ideally however this old lady deserves a quiet, calm retirement home where she can spend her afternoons sleeping in the sun rather than getting coaxed in to playing with hyper youngsters! Lemon has not yet been tested with cats, but this can be carried out prior to adoption if required.
Lemon is currently in foster care in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.
Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
