WELL I HAD A PHONE CALL TODAY FROM SOME ONE INFORMING ME THAT SOME ONE HAD RUNG HER ASKING HER TO TELL ME THAT I OWED THE BWRA 3POUND ??

WHY ??BECAUSE I DID NOT RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP UNTILL AFTER MARCH THE 1ST THIS YEAR. WELL SEEING AS I NEVER RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP UNTILL AFTER MARCH THE 1ST I ASK MYSELF WHY IS THIS RULE SUDDENLY BEING INFORCED??

WE DO NOT RACE THE BENDS SO ONLY RENEW OUR MEMBERSHIP WHEN WE ARE READY TO RACE, THIS MAY BE IN THE RULE BOOK BUT WHAT I AM ASKING IS?? HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER HAD TO PAY THIS LEVY??

I haven't renewed my bwra membership this year, so i guess when i do i'll have to pay the levy too!

My fault Pat. I should have rememberd to ask you for it but being busy on the judging line as well, I totally forgot. Its been in force about 15 years. Page 1 MANAGEMENT, RULE 4, Memberships not renewed by 1st March will be liable to an extra levy. This does not apply to new members joining during the year.

As Ive always paid our subs stright after the A.G.M every year, I must admit I tend to forget that rule.

Thats ok pauline, yes I must say you never stopped that day pauline and you was out in the feezing wind too, but have to say we enjoyed the days racing?? still pete thinks its a stupid rule and would like to know why it was brought in ?? :blink: there usually is a reason :angry:

I really cant be botherd with this, as our eldest bitch died in her sleep last night.

This rule was bought in way before the present committee was voted in.

And yes Doreen dos ask for the levy to be paid.

I cant remember for sure what the levy was bought in for, so Im making no comment on that.

But it goes to show how often members read the rules.

SURELY IT IS UP TO THE MEMBERS WHEN THEY PAY THEIR MEMBERSHIP DUES?

WHY ARE PEOPLE HAVING TO PAY A LEVY?? THE MEMBERSHIP RUNS FROM ONE MONTH TO THE SAME MONTH THE YEAR AFTER SO WOULD SOME KIND PERSON PLEASE TELL US WHY THIS THIS RULE IN FORCE???

Can I firstly thank everyone for the kind words. Brandy wasnt a whippet but she always thought she was. We knew her time was very close but going as she did, which is what we all wanted for her, happened so fast at the end Paul is still in shock.

Pat the levy has been in force for so long now I would not like to comment and get my facts wrong. For a proper answer to your question you need to phone John Fitz.

Im sure he will explain it to you. Which is better than asking other members who may not get it quite right

Paul has been a regoinal secretary, and registrar for 2 clubs over the years Pat.

And yes it was and has always been enforced.
