LEYTON

Leyton is a 3 year old fawn greyhound. He has a lovely face with gorgeous big eyes that are very hard to resist!

Leyton is a friendly boy who gets on great with the other greyhounds in our kennels, doesnt pull on the lead and doesnt cause any hassle when out on walks. He always has a big smiley face for his visitors and is overall a very sweet chap.

Lovely Leyton has never been in a home before, so potential adopters will need to be understanding and patient during the first few weeks of his adoption while he gets used to the house rules. We find that most greyhounds start to settle well after 10-14 days. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

**UPDATE 06/2010**

Leyton has now travelled across to kennels in Norfolk, UK where he waits for his forever home. He is still available for adoption.

Leyton is a lovely big boy who is affectionate and friendly to people and is rather like a big teddy bear! He will need to be carefully introduced to small dog breeds at first as he is not used to seeing them and right now think they are something to be chased. Once he realises they are all dogs, however, he will soon settle down. He is not cat friendly.

Leyton walks well on the lead and is generally a happy-go-lucky hound. Like most greyhounds, Leyton will not need a huge amount of exercise. He will be content with two 20min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch his legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs who are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Greyhounds also dont shed as much as other dog breeds such as retrievers or labradors, and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Leyton, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our information pack and adoption questionnaire which must be filled out prior to adoption. Thanks!
