Hi all,

I am new to the forum and looking for some advice if anyone has had the same problems, I have a 2 year old amazing Lhasa apsos, over the last 6 months he has developed tear stains almost over night and had him at the vets who has tried various anti histamine, eye drops, It isn't terrible however wonder if it is something we are doing. Toby is all white on the body and face, also his paws have started going a slight rusty colour also. He never had any before?

We feed him fish4dogs dry food which the breeder suggested and he get a small amount of chicken breast through it only a small cube which he seems to love.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this or could advise? the vet said we could get allergy testing done which cost £300 which I would do if it gave us an answer.

thanks in advance

Glen

Before paying out for expensive vets bills could you consider changing to an all raw diet and with no grain at all, check on what is in your treats ! there are many problems that can be controlled by diet and tear staining is one.

Raw feeding does not have to be bloody and messy, it is easy to change over without a lot of bother, easy to digest and does absolutely no harm at all. Do not cook your meat!!

Natures Menu is a fantastic and convenient frozen raw product, it can be purchased from most good pet stores.

Food allergies can appear for no apparent reason and after many years of trouble free feeding.

If you register with the "Honeys raw feeding" site you can order FREE of charge their handbook about raw feeding.

This is a fantastic little reference book, with very easy reading that makes a lot of sense.

There is no catch and no further contact asking you to purchase any of their products.

I hope this may be of some use.
