it was a year on wednesday since Little bills sireSam Vivs Quest was put to sleep so

nice we could attend

also pleased how Vivs starlight went his first race in adults as he was a year old wednesdy

a lovely meeting a joy to attend well done to all the workers

and all who turned up to remember a wonderful man and his dog

Glad everyone had a good day and remembered a true gent that George was, as many of you know Little Bill was one of our favourites and try as we might sadly we didnt manage to get a baby Bill even though Tora gave birth to two dog pups (second mating) sadly we lost them, so sad that his name couldn't have carried on in racing with a couple of his offspring. George and Lett welcomed us into their home and put up with our return journeys day after day in the hope of puppies but it wasnt to be but we will always remember some of the tales that George shared with us on these visits and I will always remember how chuffed he was when we all thought more little bills may be arriving, thank you Lett for you hospitality over those days - and the following year when we returned to try again. George and Bill will always be remembered by our family both on and off the track...

We would like to thank everybody who attended the Little Bill & George Spark Memorial today in the memory of George & Billy. Due to the time of year we did not expect a good turnout, especially with a bend open being held at Highgate. However, we were all pleasently surprised by the number of dogs resulting in some great races. We know Lett, Debbie & Paul and all the other family members who attended enjoyed the day remembering a fantastic man and his loyal dog.

We would like to thank all the workers, including the trap man, lure man, judges, commentator, as well as all other Old Hall members who got stuck in to make sure things ran smoothly.

Well done to everybody who raced today - especially the trophy winners. There were some close races and the Supreme run off was a great race. George & Billy must have been watching down on us as Harvey (Up 4 North), who George was in shares with, ran brilliantly, coming runner up in the Supreme run off. Also Adams dog ran well all day also making the supreme run off. A fitting tribute that two dogs from the Spark (& Mason) family made it to the Supreme. George would have been proud.

Hope all the Final winners enjoy their wine and we look forward to seeing everybody again next year, hopefully earlier in the year, to remember Billy & George.

Thank you to Andrew for supplying a bag of dog food for the Supreme winner and also everybody who provided raffle prizes.

And one last thank you to Geoff. Lett absolutely loved the cross stitch picture of George & Billy done as a surprise. We know how much work and time went into the picture and I am sure Lett will treasure it forever.

I will put photos on tomorrow night of the racing and also the Final Winners.

So glad you had a good turn out for this event George was a true gentleman as for Little Bill - what an awesome dog. Well done to all those that took part and congratulations to the winners - I will be honest we were going to watch the bends event - as we don’t have a dog to run at the moment (all 9 enjoying

life on sleeping the sofa) and I wanted to see Kath’s big boy competing. Unfortunately having problems with car - yet again!! had to stay at home.

Just to assure Old Hall committee I WILL get the 3 outstanding trophies back before the presentation
