Little, Jack (Titch) Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 2008 – Gatwick, West Sussex

Homing Requirements: Jack needs a special family who are terrier experienced and don't sign up to the 'dominance theory' but work in with their independent minded terriers, to strike up a working and mutually respectful partnership. Jack had a very close relationship with visiting 7-12 year old grandchildren but would not be recommended for under 6 year olds or live in young children. Jack enjoys a secure garden and exit management. He can get hyped around food so needs clear boundaries and allow him to win his fair gains.

His Story: Jack lived with his family for 5 years but a new baby in the family meant that Jack was not felt trustworthy enough to cope. Jack is neutered, chipped and fully vax'd. Jack came into boarding kennels at the end of April 2013.

Advert: Jack is a tiny feisty Jack who has always lived as an only dog and would probably like to keep it that way. He meets dogs outside but has not been socialized with them by his family and seems keener to focus on his walk. He loves water, to roll in the grass and to play fetch. He also enjoys the extent of the extender lead. Jack has had a very close relationship with visiting 7-12 year old grandchildren but would not be recommended for under 6 year olds or live in young children. Alert in the car and would need securing as with any terrier. He is very affectionate but needs to ask and owner to stop before he gets overwhelmed.

Jack is a 5 year old tri coloured Jack Russell and about 12" to the shoulder. You would need to work in with Jack as he can get the upper hand so needs to be cajoled into believing it was his idea all along. He can get concerned when people leave but is easily distracted with food. He needs a companion home and someone who delights in his full on character and can read a terrier and know how to keep the twinkle in his eyes and the joy in his heart...typical 'serious' terrier.

Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
