Hi ya, you should go to some lurcher show/racing meetings, that would be a good start as that way you would get to meet alot of different types of lurchers and get talking to people who know abot lurchers, and now since it's the spring there should be alot of lurcher shows/racing meetings coming up throughout the spring/summer. :)

Good idea - Thanks, Miss Madam . Will see what's coming up this season and get out and about more with other lurchery people! have always had dogs but she's my first lurcher - can't imagine life without her and am absolutely hooked.

Ohhhhhh I cant wait for the lurcher shows to start again. I want to show Tally. Do any of you go to the Living heritage shows, the Lurcher side is run by Thameside Racing?

I remember 10 years ago there were Lurcher shows all over the place especially at Northampton but they all seem to have disappeared. When you look at Countrymans weekly now they are nearly all linked to the big game fairs.

I think Thame will be our first one. That is where I amde contact with Tallys breeder and I was judging there as well.

Hi Lurcherlover!!

Your girl sounds lovely! Whereabouts are you? I have a gorgeous lurcher boy who is always quite happy to meet possible wives! I have his mother here too; she is a bedlington x whippet and I put her to an Irish terrier greyhound, which resulted in Basil. He is blonde, broken coated and stands at 27". Pm me and I can try and send you some pics.

:)) Hey Peony,

Your boy sounds lovely.

We're in North Oxfordshire, and are looking to breed from Evie at her first season in 2006. Got any photos of your boy you can post on the forum ? Where are you situated, by the way ??

Thanks for the reply!!

Hi lurcherlover!

I have pics of him but am far too simple o work out how to post them. My OH will when hes back on Tuesday. I am only in Worcestershire and used to live in Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire so know the area quite well. Maybe I could bring Basil to meet you somewhere as he really is better in the flesh!

Lol ..................derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I really am a dumb blonde ...................I have been reading this site for bloody ages now and have only just realised that some of you lot arent a million miles from me!!!!!
