Hi

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this soooo..if I'm not, please just remove it and don't shout at me xxx

We have decided that our beagle boy James needs a friend to play with...Moonpig is too independent and the whippets are to old to play for more than a few minutes.

we are looking for a beagle or beagle cross or small beddy/whippet type cross( no bull types tho)..we would like either a puppy or atleast under six months old...not averse to taking on a young beagle or cross that its current owners cannot cope with.( no aggression problems tho, must be good with other dogs)..Dog only..no bitches(not after Moonpig (w00t) )

we are in Kent..

If you guys know of any nice pups please could you pm me.....

just to add we are not a working home but the dogs get loads of free running in the woods and do get chance to chase bunnies and squirrels and are not kept as couch potatoes...

I'm just looking for a point in the right direction...x

I've sent the link for your post to a facebook friend of mine who has been fostering a 6 month old beddie/whippet type girlie who needs a new home ...... hopefully she will contact you

................oops, just saw you said dogs and no bitches so that won't be any good :(

You could try Beagle rescue, they have a downloadable list of dogs currently looking for homes but I'm not sure how up to date this is, so maybe worth contacting them:

(Just noticed they have an 8 month male Beagle pup in Kent if you'd consider stretching your age limit a bit.....)

thanks I've had a look..I don't think a rescue would home to us due to the fact we both work full time...although I do shifts and my OH does days and he comes home for lunch...in my experience rescues want someone home all day, which is the one thing we can't provide...we are both out between 7am and 12noon most days at the moment which is prob too long for a welfare organisation.

That's a shame - though there are many rescues that don't have blanket rules and will look at applications on a case-by-case basis, and certainly plenty who will consider full-time workers for the right dog if the day is broken up (ie someone home at lunchtime).

Good luck finding the right dog, anyway :luck:

thank you..I am going to contact them anyway just in case.

Good luck - I couldn't help taking a wee peek and there were some lovely looking dogs looking for homes there - hopefully they'll look at your individual situation as I'm sure any one of them would be very lucky to come and join your family :luck:
