Hi, im looking for a whippet bitch for sale in the south area, i have a young daughter (17 months) and ideally i would like a whippet bitch around one year old, thats kc registered, and perhaps one i could eventually breed from.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or do you know anyone that may be able to help me?I grew up with greyhounds, and my dad used to race them, we currently own a racing greyhound, but i prefer to have a whippet at home, as my toddler has taken up all of the room with her toys, etc!!! many thanks, sarah.x

 HI SARAH WELCOME TO K9

I'm sorry I can't help you out on this one,but good luck with the search :luck:

Would you want it for showing. racing or rabbiting ? I think you will have a long search on your hands . whippet rescue has a long list of people waiting for just what you are after  :luck:

Hi, thanx for the reply, i would want a whippet bitch for a pet home and for possibly breeding as there is no call for whippets in the south for people like me who desperately want a pet again!

Im not into showing, racing etc.. we already have a racing greyhound and thats enough to cope with along with the toddler!!

I do think you may have a bit of a wait for a year old bitch, they are like hens teeth everywhere not just down here. Does it have to be a bitch, I know you wanted to breed (breeding can be a costly business if things go wrong, my last litter cost me £1,000) but if you just want it for a pet you may like to consider a male. Best of luck anyway in your quest!
