I thought I would thank everyone for the support and interest you have shown. Our last pup went to his new home on Tuesday, leaving just 'Slinky' who we are keeping and 'Blondie' who is being collected at the weekend and going to Ireland.

I'm particularly grateful to Emily who has done a great job promoting them, and Peony.

I'ts been an amazing experience for Anabel and I, neither of us having had puppies before. To see them being born and developing at such an amazing speed, going from blind hamster-like things to proper little dogs has been extraordinary. However, the amount of time and work has been enormous and I think we are lucky to have found good homes for them all. The K9 site has been a great help and our advert in the horse and hound also provided some response.

I'll keep posting pics of Slinky and hope to keep in touch with Zair and as many of the others as possible. :cheers:

Slinky is four months old tomorrow and developing some lovely long legs (and long ears like dad). One cool puppy!

Slinky is gorgeous! She is so like Zair in many ways with very long legs and he too has longish ears! I will take another pic of him now he is 4 months and post. It is also interesting that like Zair, Slinky has white on her face - Zair also has quite a few white hairs over his body - are there any white dogs along the breeding line? Zair is decidely hairy (despite us wanting a smooth brindle dog!) but he is a real smashing pup and we love him to bits.

As for the white hair business, I wonder if that has come from Granny?? She is an iron grey with a silvery/white top coat which features more on her face and knobbly bits! Basil's coat changes colour quite drastically throughout the seasons ...........at the moment he has definite blue areas and a fair smattering of white hair, but in the summer he gets a lot more yellow. The litter I bred by Basil showed a lot of Grannys colouring in the babies. Oh, and dont worry about the ear thing ........................I was most disconcerted when Basil was small as he grew his 'adult ears' at a very early age and we had to wait for the rest of him to catch up - I did have visions of him remaining elephantine all hs life!!!!!! :lol:
