Ballinlough Castle, a hidden gem in the Irish countryside was the venue for last Sundays Lurcher, Terrier & Whippet dog show. It was a lovely family day out, for all our great Canine followers and their families who travelled from North and South of the border. There was a big turn out of Lurchers, Terriers, & Whippets at this show, the judges done a great job, with a very difficult remit, and the weather did not let us down either, with the exception of a few showers. It was great to meet up with old friends and also some new ones.Congratulations to all the winners, too nemurous to mention. A special congratulaions to Graham, from Dublin who won the Overall show. Tracey Gill had well deserved win with taking the Whippet Championship, A true champion, with our bitch "Silver " taking reserve. Congratulations Tracy. Our Whippet " Silver " also won the Whippet Bitch class and Goldie our Whippet puppy came 3rd in the puppy championship. Also in the racing Rose Mc Coy and her brilliant lurchers were tops again, Congratulations Rose, a brilliant win, and Eddie Mc Kinstry & Liz on their great win with their Whippets, Kirsty and Billy Harpur on their win, and Liam Black with his cracking little racing terrier. A great win Liam. I am told your mate Peter Morgan has purchased a nice Whippet. I will have to watch this man in the ring, he could be a force to be reckoned with. Welcome to Whippet world Peter our friend.

Bluebell was there taking her photographs, and I can tell you she took some great photographs. It was great to see you there on Sunday Deidre, as you were missed on Saturday. A job well done Deidre, and thanks to Patsy for leading us all the way to Ballinlough. The day ended in Ballinlough with a bit of jolification before we left for home in Eddie Mc Kinstrys Gazebo with our K9 friends , proceeds from my winnings in the raffle at Donemana. The craic was good, and the banter was hilarious. A great crowd to be with. Many thanks to Ian, and committe of the dog show for giving us all a great day out. Your hard work definately paid off on Sunday Ian, and also to the Irish National Game and Country Fair

for the overall show. See you all at Timmys show Rathbeggan Lakes, Dunshaughlin Road, Co Meath on Saturday.

A lovely write up as usual Margaret, unlike myself who says very little :p i didn't get any pics of the racing winners, only have this one of Rose with Diego 1st U23" Racing & Overall Racing Champion...

Lovely write up Margaret. Had a brilliant day at the show and was even better when Reni won the Over 23" racing.... Was surprised as that was her 1st run in 5 weeks as she was off injured and just took her out for the run.. So me and dad were well over the moon. She was tired though after her heat and final and then had to run the overall.. Even thought she was only beat by a few lengths we were still over the moon so was a gud day all round.

Thanks to the organisers as it was a very well run show and brilliant ground for running the dgos.

Yes it was agood days craic. Was chuffed with Reni's win,as she has only had her 4 feet on the ground for 2 weeks, after a nasty injury, which left me wondering if she would ever run again this year. She's lost her early pace at the moment. But thats because the power aint there yet.Guess Dieago has a big advantage on the early,as ive not seen anything, with the blistering early pace he has,4 some years now.He left Reni 4 stopped,4 the 1st 100 yards. But she pulled back to within a length at the line.Wasnt doin no racing pix.But video'd the racing instead this time.Congrats to eddie, n Lizz,in the whippet racing, and aslso to Rose,in the under 23 inch racing, and also in the overall final.I dont mind it,when im beaten by a goodun.Dont make me feel so bad, lol. As i need to do a biot of fittness work with Reni n Danni. We wont be racing this weekend.Danni's had his 1st run in 12 weeks today, and altho we just give him 100yrds.We were realy pleased with his run.Lookn good.
