Hi All Have started this topic for some info regarding Lurchers, I at present run non ped racing whippets, at the minute in our club forums Kirkcaldy W.R.C there is a bit of a debate on what makes a lurcher? It seems that if you cross a greyhound with any other breed it becomes a lurcher but when you cross it with a Whippet (non ped) then it does not, can anybody give me an idea to why this is, or would you all call this a Lurcher? Its just a bit of friendly debate if you want to visit our forums and add your views feel free.

this is one opion from SOME member,S,,, JUST TO GET THE BALL ROLLING :- "

(( a lurcher is grossed between a sight hound or a long dog)))

a GREYHOUND X WHIPPET is a LONG DOG

a JACK RUSSEL X GREYHOUND is a LURCHER
