Lurcher Supreme Champion of Champions

Supreme Champion receives £300 Prize Purse,

Presentation Jacket, Sash and Trophy

Reserve Supreme Champion of Champions receives £100 and Trophy

3rd and 4th Place each receive trophy

Living Heritage Challenge Cup

Terrier Supreme Champion of Champions

Supreme Champion receives £300 Prize Purse

Presentation Jacket, Sash and Trophy

Reserve Supreme Champion of Champions receives £100 and Trophy

3rd and 4th Place each receive trophy

Child Handling Championship

Champion receives £80, Presentation Jacket, Sash and Trophy

Super league Racing Championships

Points will be awarded to 4th place for each event on each show day

Top 16 point places at the end of the year qualify for the

Relevant Championship final to be held at Belvoir Castle

Overall point’s winner at the end of the year

YES THAT IS CORRECT THEN THE TOP 16 WILL GO INTO THE FINAL AT THE END OF THE YEAR, AS I UNDERSTAND IT :thumbsup:

Just looked on the 'Lurcher World' site. Dosen't inform a great deal but there are points awarded as follows for coursing, unders & overs;

1st 14 Points

2nd 9 Points

3rd 6 Points

4th 4 Points

Below as per the website 'Lurcher World'

Top 16 point places at the end of the season will be invited to the relevant championship final.

Overall points winner at the end of the season, for each category will receive:

Super league Championship Title, £200 Prize Purse, Presentation Jacket, Sash and Perpetual Shield

This seems a good idea and should attract more people to travel. Shouldn't advantage the all round dogs which run in the straight racing and course as there are individual category champions by the looks of it, therefore they can't accumalate points for racing in two different formats :thumbsup:

I have tried emailing 'Lurcher world' but was unsuccessful. I wonder if there are points to be won on each day or just one of the days??

Now why can't us folk over here do summit like that,and hold a big final sometime round the end of September.A proper all ireland racing final,were we get a chance to train up for summit special.Opp's.Would need a few point's 1st though.Summit for the AGM next month,me fink's. ...Billy...
