we've got a coach load from the NWLCC wanting to come down, we always have fun regardless of the weather ect ect :thumbsup:

It was a good day ...We need a lure with a bigger lure line spool, but then we have it sorted ....So it looks like the 11th is a goer .....and yes we will give you a lift if you are very good :lol:

RIGHT EVERYBODY - WE ARE AT LAST ABLE TO MAKE SOME ANNOUNCEMENTS RE

THE SOUTHWEST LURECOURSING CLUB.

1. THE CLUB IS TO BE CALLED THE SOUTHWEST LURECOURSING CLUB

2.MANAGEMENT WILL BE BY A THREE MAN (WELL TWO WOMEN AND A MAN)

STEERING TEAM CONSISTING OF RAE TODD WHO WILL BE TREASURER, HANNAH

BISHOP WHO WILL BE IN CHARGE OF ENTRIES , COMPILATION OF STAKES AND

FIELD STEWARD AND MYSELF, LAURIE WINTER AS SECRETARY.

3. THERE WILL BE A ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE OF £10 PER PERSON. MEMBERSHIP

TO RUN FROM THE 1st MAY.

4. A BANK ACCOUNT HAS BEEN OPENED TO ALLOW THE TREASURER TO

DEPOSIT SUCH MEMBERSHIP FEES AND OTHER MONIES RECEIVED. INITIALLY

SUCH FUNDS WILL BE PUT TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF THE VARIOUS ITEMS

OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR THE RUNNING OF EVENTS. AND WHEN

SOLVENT FOR THE PROVISIONS OF TROPHIES AND MEMBERS BENEFITS.

5. THE FIRST EVENT IS TO BE HELD AT CULMHEAD nr TAUNTON SOMERSET ON

THE 11th OF MAY IT IS PROPOSED TO CONSIST OF FOUR EIGHT DOG STAKES

FOR KC REGISTERED WHIPPETS. CONSISTING OF THREE CATEGORIES . 1) 1 TO

2 YEARS. 2) 2 TO 6 YEARS. 3)OVER 6 YEARS. EACH CATEGORY TO BE KEPT AS

SEPERATE AS ENTRY NUMBERS ALLOW WHEN COMPILING THE FOUR STAKES.

IN ADDITON TO THIS THERE WILL BE A EIGHT DOG STAKE FOR NON PEDIGREE

WHIPPETS AND LURCHERS. IT IS ENVISAGED THAT THE WINNERS OF THE FOUR

WHIPPET STAKES WILL RUN OFF TO DECIDE A OVERALL WINNER AND

RUNNERUP.

ENTRY FEES FOR THIS EVENT ARE £5 PER DOG.RESTRICTED TO PAID UP

MEMBERS.

ENTRIES CAN BE MADE BY TELEPHONE , EMAIL OR K9 PM TO MRS HANNAH

FOR NON-PEDS AND LURCHERS 1. DOGS NAME 2. OWNERS NAME.

ENTRIES CLOSE ON THE 4TH OF MAY

ALL PERSONS ENTERING DOGS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK AND THE

SOUTHWEST LURECOURSING CLUB ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY

DAMAGE OR INJURY OCCURING TO ANY ANIMAL , PERSON OR PROPERTY

AT THIS EVENT.

IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR PAST ADVICE AND ENCOURAGEMENT AND THE

THIS EVENT WILL BE RUN IN A FIELD ADJACENT TO HOLLYBUSH CAMP SITE

THERE IS A PUB 50 YARDS UP THE ROAD FOR THOSE SEEKING EDIBLE AND LIQUID SUSTAINACE ON THE SATURDAY OR EVEN THE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

WE'LL WARN 'EM YOU'RE COMING SHONA
