Our dog has just been
diagnosed with lymphoma (Thursday) and we have decided to give her quality time left with us rather than put her through chemo.
She is now on steroids which we were told would make her drink and wee more but she has only been on them 2 days and is now weeing whilst asleep. She will still toilet outside but has had 3 accidents in this way. Has anybody else experienced this please?
Are there alternative therapies we could give her? We love her so much and it’s breaking my heart.

Sorry to hear about your girl. I dont have much advice - does she sleep on vet bed? I believe urine passes through it so she is not in effect lying on a wet patch.

Hi
Thank you for responding, she has a really big plastic bed which has a big zipped foam dog bed at the base and then an old sleeping bag on top.
She also has her own (old leather) settee in the dining room and I just put knitted blankets on that so the wee is just going straight into those as well as through the bedding in her big plastic bed.
I will look at vet bed thank you.

I'm sorry to hear this. As recommended by Joanne if you do buy a vet bed i would recommend putting incontinence pads/puppy pads below her bed so it will absorb any liquid.

I’m really sorry to hear this @Flossie391 :-(

I hope she is able to enjoy the time she has left with you

Having lost a dog to this awful disease I feel your heartache.
There is some evidence that shows CBD oil can alleviate some symptoms.

With Max we just enjoyed the time we had and spoiled him rotten.

sending ((((hugs))))
