Maggie is a female rougth coated lurcher who came into rescue with 2 other dogs, all three dogs were in a poor condition having spent most of their time living outdoors. Maggie was very underweight, dehydrated and had a chest infection.

She has recovered well and her weight is now right for her 21/22" height to shoulder frame, Maggie has settled well into living in a foster home she is house - trained, happy to share with other dogs and travels well in the car. Maggie has a very sweet and gentle nature and will make someone a wonderful companion.

Maggie loves to spend time during the day snoozing in her favourite armchair and enjoys pottering around the garden at home & at her foster Mum's work & has started to take an interest in the sights, sounds & smells around her when she is outside. Maggie has not been tested for cats. Maggie is on tablets for her joints that she will probably need to take for the rest of her life.

Maggie is a real sweetie who deserves a comfy home if you would like to find out more about her then please give Pip or Linda a call their numbers can be found on the Evesham Greyhound Rescue website under contacts www.lurcher.org.uk/

Update on Maggie

Maggie has settled really well into her foster home & is a real sweetie. She has gained quite a bit of weight & is now developing a wonderful shine to her coat. With the PLTs she is now quite a bit steadier on her back legs & really enjoys her walks, with the occasional little bit of a run. Maggie loves to chill out, curled up on the sofa or armchair for quite a few hours after her walk & can be left for up to approx. 3 hours with the company of another dog. She loves to use the resident dog as a pillow for her own head!

Maggie has got on really well with all the dogs she has met when out for her walks & often barks a greeting to them as they approach. Maggie is more or less house-trained, she doesnt ask to go out in the garden but now she is settled into a routine, so long as her foster Mum keeps an eye on the clock then there are no accidents.

Maggie has visited a friend of her foster Mum's, who has a cat & Maggie was a little nervous of the feisty young lady & so may well be able to be homed with a self-assured cat. Maggie enjoys fuss & cuddles & is a real softie at times & would love to find her forever family soon.image.jpg
