With the Lilly having such a nice litter to Magnus first time around I thought that I would repeat the mating, I have never done this before but here it goes. Here is Lilly due today and hanging in there.

Thanks K9ers I think 8 to 9 , just a quick update Lilly's temp is dropping now on 37.2, so some action on the way soon, its just gone midnight here so no sleep much tonight for me.

WELL she has crossed her legs for now, her temp come down and then went up and has stayed up, but it has dropped a little this arvo so who knows she may try and have them later tonight or tomorrow, no need for me to get up tight as there is no pushing just heaps of relaxing on Lilly's part. I'll keep you all posted as it happens.

I have just spoken to Griff. After two sleepless nights, and no labour, Lilly had a caesarean at lunchtime today.

2 boys, 4 girls, all okay at this stage. Lilly is still quite groggy, but otherwise fine :thumbsup:

Griff is too tired to post photo's for now He will put something on later tonight after he has had a sleep.

Thanks Karen for posting for me, what a couple of days with the temp up and down and no contractions. My vets were very good and after an xray one of the pups was over the birth canal coming back first, she said that if Lilly was contracting this pup would not have made it. My gut feeling was there may have been something wrong as no second stage labour had started, so pleased that I took her in when I did. Lilly is fine just had some scrambled eggs with milk and calcium with the puppies feed and sleeping. Lilly is still a bit out of it so I get puppy bum duty :x all in all a great day with mum fine and the kids fine the vet richer me poorer but I'm the winner in the end with a lovely litter of whippets. :wub: :wub: :thumbsup:
