Jeremy only wanted a forever loving home.....

(pic of a grey with one eye)

Yet he was found with injuries described as among the most horrific ever seen. He was emaciated, covered in mange and had bites that went down to the bone causing the loss of an eye. His injuries were so severe it’s suspected that, after he had outlived his usefulness as a racing dog, he’d been used as a training aid for a dog fighting ring.

He was taken to Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue in Halifax and it was here, in care of this specialist rescue centre that re-homes more than 250 dogs every year, that Jeremy began his long journey back to health and eventually found his happy new forever home.

Whilst many Greyhounds and Lurchers have happy lives, there are others who suffer neglect, abuse and homelessness when they become surplus to requirements.

At Burgess we love Greyhounds and Lurchers, so we created Supadog Greyhound and Lurcher, a complete food specifically developed for the nutritional needs of pet Greyhounds and Lurchers. Burgess will donate 20p for every 15kg sack and 5p for every 2.5kg bag bought, to rescue centres belonging to the Alliance of Independent Greyhound Rescues. This is a forever promise to these beautiful, peaceful animals.

To find out more about the new Burgess Supadog Greyhound & Lurcher food visit www.burgesspetcare.co.uk

Even if you don't own a Greyhound or Lurcher you can still help our 'Make a Purchase, Make a Difference' appeal by making a donation to an independant Greyhound or Lurcher rescue centre through Just Giving or passing this e-mail on to others who might like to help make a brighter future for Greyhounds and Lurchers like Jeremy.

All ready use it and my lot like it and look good it!!!!!!!!

 for that my dear :huggles: .....Poor Jeremy , racings one thing but being used for training fighting dogs  ......

(PS I hope you're feeling better x)

:) I helped at Tia for a few years and have many lovely memories of Jeremy who despite being treated so badly had a fantastic personality and everyone loved him. He was chief fundraiser for Tia and loved all the attention he got wether he was tin rattling outside morrisons or on the stand at a country show. Me and Mick (OH) and another couple took some of the dogs tin rattling in our local town centre and for saying Jeremy only had one eye he didnt miss a trick..

We had a big crowd round us looking at the g/hounds when a little boy started crying, the poor little lad was stood with an empty Greggs bag and there was Jeremy with a steaming hot cheese n onion pasty clamped in his gob!! I dashed and got the little lad another pie and luckily his mum had a sense of humour :sweating: :b boy were we embarrased - but Jeremy loved the pie!

Sad to say Jeremy died not so long ago and thanks to Tia his last years were happy and he was spoilt rotten so please support Supadog in their support of Greyhound rescue.
