Hi,

My dog has torn his leg, he has stitches but the wound has become infected.

I have been told that Manuka honey is a great healing tool and that it also comes in cream form.

What do people think about it and has anyone used it?

Jenny

 My sisters mum in law swears by it. Uses it on burns, cuts and the like. Dont know about cream tho

havent used it in a cream form, and have never used it on the dogs but used it years ago on an abscess on one of our rabbits - it was wonderful.

Manuka Honey worked for my Gran. At 101 years old she had an infected wound which several rounds of antibiotics had not cleared... if anything still getting worse.

Manuka honey cleared it up completely. Took a wee while though. Applied it, covered it with gauze, 3 times a day.

Worth a go I'd certainly say. Never seen the cream form though.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

manuka honey cleared my brother in laws mrsa from hospital when all els failed, but it has to be the active stuff.

Only ever heard really positive things about it. Supposed to be amazing for Psoriasis.
