MAX
Max is a 3 year old greyhound boy. He has a lovely light fawn coat and bright, intelligent eyes.
Poor Max came to us as his owner no longer wanted him. It was soon discovered that he had broken his wrist over a month ago which had gone unnoticed and thus has healed incorrectly. Max is due to have orthopaedic surgery on the bones in his wrist to try correct the damage caused by not repairing the fracture. He should be ready for his new home in 8 weeks time, and it would be fantastic if he could go straight to his new home once his leg has healed properly.
Despite the pain in his wrist, Max is a happy boy and is always wagging his tail! He gets on very well with the other greyhounds in our kennels and doesnt cause any trouble, though he is yet to see the world outside of kennels and doesnt have much experience in socialising with other breeds of dog yet. He enjoys getting attention from people and is a very friendly boy.
Max is currently being kept in Ireland where he is having his surgery. Once his leg has recovered, he can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This lovely boy really deserves some home comforts after all he has endured.
~~ KERRY GREYHOUND CONNECTION ~~
Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.
Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
