MEADOW

Meadow is a big, beautiful greyhound girl who is almost 3 years old. She has a gorgeous fawn brindle coat and kind eyes. Meadow is an ex-racer and her racing name was Meadow Sweet, which is most apt as she is the sweetest dog.

Meadow is a lovely calm girl who walks well on the lead and takes things in her stride. She is good with the other greyhounds at the kennels, though is not cat safe and sadly hasn't experienced much outside of the racing life. She has not yet been small dog tested, but this can be carried out prior to adoption if needed. Her lovely nature makes her a favourite at the kennels but this gorgeous girl really deserves her forever home now.

This pretty girl is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This would be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.

We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.

**UPDATE 04/2010**

Meadow has had a preliminary test with cats and passed with flying colours! She will soon go to a foster home with cats to confirm that she can indeed live in a cat home. Potential adopters with cats are free to enquire further about her.

**UPDATE 04/2010b**

Meadow has now travelled across to Norfolk, UK where she is in a foster home with cats. She is getting to experience the comforts of a home environment for the first time, as well as learning to share her home with a kitty. So far she is being the perfect house guest!

**UPDATE 05/2010**

Meadow has now turned 3 years old, and her lovely fosterers decided to celebrate it with a pretty rosette and some new chews!

This lovely girl is still waiting for her forever home. She is currently living in a foster home with a cat, but she still needs some training before she can safely live with one. She is, however, brilliant with other dogs, kids and people and she would fit beautifully in to most households.
