I've got a slot for a micro sd card on my phone so I can transfer my photos and music etc but I'm not sure how it works and how I get it from the tiny little card onto my computer. :b Do the adaptors the cards come with fit into the floppy disc slot on the computer? My phone's got bluetooth and I was able to use it when my husband loaded bluetooth onto his computer but it completely mucked up our networking so I can't use it now and need to buy a memory card instead. Can anyone tell me what I need to get? Sorry if I sound completely thick!! I just don't want to buy the wrong thing.

hi gilliwigs,i got a micro sd too,i had a disc with my phone to connect it to my pc,it loads all the drivers needed to load music, pictures etc if you go into a mobile phone shop and ask for a data suite for your phone,or tell me make, model etc,i`ll try to find somewhere you can download it from?

have you got a cable to connect from phone to pc?

Hi. No, my phone, Samsung E570, doesn't have a connection for a computer cable which is why I'm having a problem making sure I get the right thing. I haven't used a phone with a memory card before so a bit of new technology for me! :sweating: :) I know which micro SD to get but wanted to make sure I was buying something I could be sure of linking to my computer.

the cable plugs into where your battery charger goes then too usb port.

Thanks for that - you've gone to a lot of trouble. I've got a few phone cables but of course, they're all different! It would make life so much easier if they could all use the same one. :- "

Your other option, and one I find easier is to use a card reader. I have one in my laptop, but if you don't have one you can get one that plugs into your usb port. You then put your micro card into its adapter thingy, and it should slot into the card reader. You can then drag and drop files to it, or save files to it as if it were a removable drive. Here's a link to one on Ebay - cheap as chips! This one will probably have finished by the time you look, but there are loads of them. Just search for usb card reader

Thanks - I think I understand it all now! I think it'll work out cheaper to go for a card reader and a micro sd - I don't need massive memory, just the facility to be able to transfer photos and maybe music easily.
