Jess is a joy to watch in the ring, she obviously loves Lucy so much. she did so well at the IG Club show as well.

So Nicky when will we see you out and about at the shows with your new babies and Wiggy isnt it about time you set foot in the ring? It would be great to meet up with you both in person one day.

Hello Everyone :)

Don't post on forums much as they can be a bit unfriendly however this one seems different. Just wanted to say congratulations to everybody who attended especially Jess who has come so far in such a short time. Her Mum must be so proud of her.

Wiggy, I know how you feel with not having much time to show, I too have horses, four at the moment, and in the Winter months when they are stabled at night it is a lof of work, well lots of mucking out aghhhh! I have to be up each morning at 5.00am so family and friends know never to call me after 9.00pm as I am in bed! How sad is that!

yes jessiemae the horses take so much of our time in the winter months. and its all left to me as its dark by the time the girls get out of school. im a night owl though still uptill midnight even when im up at 6 the next morning, my dogs love a good charge round the paddocks before i let the ponies out. and a roll in the muck if im not very carefull.what breeds of horse do you keep? xxx

We have Arabians (mad arabs..lol..). I was trying to keep it to just three but ended up rescuing a part bred that was being sold at Llanbydder (sp) in Wales. I couldn't bear the meat man to get her so ended up bidding against him. Although not in the best of conditon, thin and covered in sores she has turned into the most beautiful mare and her manners are impeccable! You can't save them all but at least she has a second chance now.

Do you Daughters compete on the ponies ? must be lovely to watch them. I did a lot of pony/riding club competitions when I was younger but not quite so brave now..lol..

Jess has worked very hard on her handling, only stating in the summer. She loves all animals and is very caring.

Im sorry Im not being rude but I dont want to be brought into this. As you know Jess has Autism, which means she is easily upset. Everything has to be done to a order if this is changed she would become upset. This has been very hard coping with. I am just pleased she has found something which she enjoys doing and i really dont want this to change for her. Even family menbers can upset her if its not Jess who invites them along.

Your not being rude at all Sarah. I know how hard you work to keep Jess happy and that is understandable you wouldnt want the routine upset. No offence intended :b

Well isnt that spooky when I was teenager I used to show Pure bred Arabs under saddle and inhand. I once beat the beautiful Cherif at Hickstead. Arabs have always been my first love although I have a soft spot for the irish horses after 3 years on the Miltr#ary Police Mounted section at Aldershot.

3ft 9 in indeed a good height for an Arab to jump! Your horses sound lovely, I think a sec D is a lovely x with an Arab, such a versatile cross. Yup, I am totally addicted to my Arabians, their beauty and intelligence nevers ceases to amaze me. I think most 'horsey' people either love them or hate them!

I too just hack around our village and beach. Far too much traffic on the roads now, things have changed such a lot since I was a child, but then again that is a long time ago..lol..xx
