HOW VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SEE HOW FEW QUALIFIED DOGS TURNED UP FOR STRAIGHT RACING FINALS. THERE WERE 2 PAGES LONG OF NAMES IN THE ORGANISERS TENT...HOW COME 20 OVERS TURNED UP AND 11 UNDERS ?

SHAME ON YOU LOT WHO DIDNT BOTHER YER ARSES MAKING THE EFFORT.

AND IF YOU COULDNT MAKE IT WHY DIDNT YOU GIVE WHO EVER CAME 2ND TO IN THE QUALIFIERS THE CHANCE OF GOING..? YOU COULD HAVE PHONED THE COUNTRYMANS WEEKLY GUY DARYL AND TOLD HIM YOU WERENT GOING.

COME ON PEOPLE SUPPORT THE SPORT..MAKE THE FUKN EFFORT !!

J  HN

john does it really matter like.. all the dogs there were previous champions and it only takes one dog to beat u not loads! aslong as u were there dont worry about everyone else....  :p

Rose :)

yes totally agree people runin pure greyhounds in final but least it pulled up cause coarse was to long for it and a dog which was over 23 inch winnin unders at least we got simulated, puppie racin. hurdels, and overs racin, trophys back in cornwall as we have no unders this year

It must be terribly frustrating for any organiser to go to the trouble of arranging events and not have people attend.

Surely, as John suggests, could 'non-showers' not notify the organisers who could in turn could then invite the second place runners?

At this rate, if the orgnisers of events cant guarantee a decent turn out, they arent going to bother staging the events, which isnt going to be beneficial to the future of lurchers.

dont know if we are goin .LW sent qualifers to me last week i will try to go but its a bit far dogs have to travell 8 hours in a car and that a long time as we been to 3 finals in 6 week

Well done Rose with Miss Torri. Can't believe some people think she is over 23", must be an English thing, first they dont seem to know the difference between 175 yards and 400 yards and now some are questioning the height of Miss Torri :- " . Hard luck John with Colt and hope he mends up pretty quickly. I can't understand why anyone would want their lurcher to run 1500 metres unless they were into coursing hares. I must admit i had a chuckle at the reply about the home bred collie pup that will beat yours when she's 15 months.....he must be having a laugh....no way can he be serious about that one, a bit like i know a guy who is going to breed a litter of pups next julember that will beat anything that's racing at the minute and they are out of a jack russell...a minature one at that. Congratulations to all whose dogs won or were awarded trophies/rossettes at the Midlands. Miss Torri seems to be making quite a legacy for herself where ever she goes.

'mrs' i dont think so!!! i just travel over with him as a friend! so yet again get ur facts straight!!

I didn't realise that we'd qualified for the finals at Weston until the paperwork came through, I thought that it was just Cholmondley. The runner up that day was my other dog. I would have loved to run him on Sun just to see him against good dogs. I have the other problem re size as he's only just over 23 & they think he should be in unders

Get used to it Rose & John! I did! It makes winning 10 times better. I have personally met Rose & Johh and they are NOT CHEATS!! ie size or breeding. In fact I would class them as friends, and I choose my friends very carefully

Yours in Sport Geoff

P.S See you all on the start line next year.

 Hey Ellie Mays Sister Tori does it again and I hear by all accounts Ellies Star the other sister Won again.

Couldnt be happier for you Rose. Your doing really well any nasty comments you should ignore, the way I see it these people are only jealous of you and they dont have the BALLS to say it to your face.

I wish Frankie could have made it over but it just wasnt happening.

John bad luck mate with Colt Im not exactly sure what happened but I really hope he is okay. :)

Nic

excuses?? i was jokin yes we are goin to chomley and trophys who cares i won what i came to win at the midland and the trophys are here to prove it now also a good freind who came with us won the overs and thats a bonus so i see ireland only took 1 trophy back cornwall got 4 first not bad and the excuses i wont be makin any

Well done MarkBrick and the Cornish dogs who won at the Midlands. From a Northern Ireland perspective it's great to see that a dog born and bred in Northern Ireland won the overs as well as the unders as it was only a few years ago that it was English pups brought into Northern Ireland which were doing the winning over here.

Frankie and Nicola...i reckon if you breed of Miss Ellie again you shouldn't have too much trouble selling the pups after the success of her pups in the non ped and lurcher scene.

Rose i'm surprised that people have assumed you as Mrs Stormy Dog......I would have thought they would have assumed you as father and daughter....John certainly looks old enough....hard paper round....and selling upvc double glazing does that to you...hey john those were the days

Congratulations to Rose and Tori. I would just like to say that Tori is a real racing champion, cause ive been going to races for 13 years and I have never seen a faster dog in the under 23 category. I would say she is even quicker than her mother Miss Ellie would have been.

Once again WELL DONE !!!

 Darren, In reply to your suggestion I am thinking strongly of breeding Miss Ellie again using the same Greyhound. :- "
