A pretty name, for a pretty dog. She's a silver, blue, grey Saluki cross lurcher.
Miss Sparkly has had a very difficult life, she was living with another dog but there was domestic violence in the home, so she has never experienced a peaceful stress free life.
She has been in the rescue now for a few weeks and has made a big impact, she is the perfect angel. She is a quiet, calm, easy dog. She has been clean the whole time despite her obvious stress. She will make a loyal and loving companion. She bonds quickly and loves to be with people.
She has a comfy chair which she has made her own and is quite content sleeping there and getting a bit of a fuss.
When Miss Sparkly was spayed unfortunately they found 5 mammary tumours which had to be removed. She ended up under a general anasthetic for 2 and a half hours. It was a huge shock to us all but she came through the operation well and is making a strong recovery - even if she ended up looking a bit like a patch-work quilt!
Her prognosis, medically, we hope is good. The vet seems to think they got all of the tumours out. 1 had burst so she was put on anti-biotics in case of infection, but she has now finished them and is doing really welll
Sparkly is now looking for a calm, quiet retirement home where she can spend the rest of her days being treated like the little princess she is.
Although older Miss Sparkly does not want to live with cats but is happy to share here home with a new doggy friend
If you think you could offer this sweet little lady a loving forever home please give Pip a call on 01386 853 971
