Has your friend of a friend put a poster up in Chandlers near Barkston? They are agricultural merchants, selling equine, doggy, cars etc and have a notice board that is free of charge.

Hope he comes back soon. XX

hi there Gwen, to be honest i don't know if they have, i'll suggest it to my friend to suggest to them. I've been following the facebook page they have, and i know they are franticly putting up posters everywhere. I know they've had a few false leads, i followed a man with a weimaraner the other day, till i saw it had a grey nose, and i'm miles away. They must be going crazy.

I lost my dog for an hour or two once, i have never before or since ran so fast, or for so long. Luckily i was able to mobilize a lot of people straight away, and no-one had pinched him, he was just legging it around, following the route we took on a walk the previous day. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose him for this long, :(

This is awful. I feel for the owners. I hope your friends can find the dog.

I just hope he has done a similar thing and he's gone to an old walk and someone has picked him up and taking care of him until a rescue can take him on. I know there are long waiting lists for rescues so perhaps someone is taking care of him until then.

I rescued a dog last year. The little jack russell was running across the train tracks as scared as anything. There must have been around 20-30 people at the station just watching. I eventually managed to enourrage him onto and up the ramp to the platform.

I picked him up and popped him in the back of the car.

Fortunately, my vets were very close and were very helpful. They scanned him and it turned out he was registered there so they phoned the owner. She was in bits.

I just hope if it happened to me someone would help.

Fingers crossed he is found soon!
