News is in that Fern - Ch Dachlah Silver Fern has slipped her collar at the Melbourne airport en-route to NZ

Here owners are devastated & it has been reported on TV - so fingers crossed for a speedy reunite with her owners.

Don't know if any of you Aussie K9'ers in the area are able to offer assistance - if speaking to Bev or Marilyn, please pass on my thoughts.

This is horrible, the very best of luck in having Fern home safely :luck: :luck:
 
Just heard Fern has been found.... She is safe and well.. They say she isn't going to NZ now...
 
Latest, & from a good souce, is that she has been found. :D :) :)) :cheers: :huggles: :teehee: :thumbsup:

Thank christ for that ... I'd be beside myself if Connie ever went missing. I think lots of rest is required for Fern and family. :huggles:
 
Omg. So glad that the lovely Fern Has Been Found safe and sound I am sure that Bev was beside herself. Lots of Hugs To Fern, & Bev.

Woke up to the great news that Fern has been found :thumbsup:

Great to see such an awesome result, poor Bev & Marilyn would have been sick with worry - I wouldn't be sending her anywhere either after that little journey :wub:

Seems Fern found Bev, not the other way round. How sweet, :wub: this from DOL:

Fern was flying out yesterday, she actually went missing on Tuesday. She was at Dogtainers (at the airport) for final tests. When they went to walk her they lost her. I dont' know the final details about a breaking lead or anything.

The special part of this story is that Fern actually found Bev :wub: Bev was camping at the airport last night to try and find her, she was walking around looking and felt a nudge on the back of her leg and there was Fern. This made me very teary when I was told this by Marilyn. And no, she ain't goin nowhere now!! Fern is the most gorgeous, sweet, soft little girl. Who cares about a NZ title now, just stay home and get your grand!

What a nasty few hours Bev, we're very pleased that you have her back safe and sound. :)
 
Oh I am just so pleased to hear the good news - I know first hand what it is like to have a lost dog and the story of how she came back brought tears to my eyes.

Very happy for Fern and Bev.

OMG - goosebumps and tears :unsure: - what an amazing reunion :wub: - I wouldn't be lettn her out of my sight - she clearly is not fussed on the land of the long white sheep - I can imagine how disappointed the people she was coming to will be, but so understandable.

Hey - don't get to cocky (w00t) Just remember Cartman, one of your offspring arrived in NZ 3wks ago & she is more than happy to share her paddock with the sheep :p They leave tasty morsels :teehee:

Still thrilled to read the story of how Fern found Bev, give such faith in both fate & mother nature :wub:
 
Just had to go and dry my eyes after reading that- just imagining them both looking for each other :wub: :huggles:
