Have just received telephone call from a lady who lives in Cowie near Ayr, she has told me there is a fawn whippet in the football pitch playing field, i myself do not know the place but if anyone has lost a whippet near the area can they go aloing as seemingly the whippet is lying down, she says she has contacted the police and they are not willing to help as this has to do with the dog warden and she cannot get anyone at the moment, so if anyone knows of lost whippet please help.

There's a link on the Scottish Beagle Club website to a missing dog poster - a Beagle that went missing from a secure garden in Glasgow last week.

This is a big fear of mine and I can't imagine what it must feel like to loose your dog. Anyway, I know if it happend to me I'd want all the help I could get in finding my dog. So I got in touch with the lady to see if I could help. She is distraught. She lives alone with her dog, so she's got no one to talk things through with. He's now been missing 9 days without any confirmed sightings. She doesn't seem to really have anyone helping her to find her dog so I said I would do what I could.

The lady isn't computer literate so she isn't utilising the internet to help find her dog. I've offered to create a blog so that she can have a voice on the internet. If and when she sends me the info I'll try and get the link to as many people as possible.

My friend Hazel (who brings her dog Sophie to racing) has been in touch with Radio Clyde (DJ Bruno Brooks has a Beagle himself and Hazel thinks she can persuade him to mention the little lost dog on the radio).

If you lost your dog you'd be desperate for help, so if there's anything you an do - however small - to help this lady find her baby please do it! Even if it's just to email the link to everyone in your address book!

The ladies name is Mari and her little lost Beagle is 3 year old Oscar.

She says she has contacted Police, rescue centres, National Pet Register, Lost Dogs, Animal Search, Dog Wardens, British Transport Police (Railways), Vets, My Postman/Post Office Sorting and she put up posters and will continue to do so for as long as it takes. She says that any advice and help would be deeply appreciated.
