I have just posted this in 'whippets'- but asking more generally-

A bitch has mated with her brother- and has produced 3 healthy looking pups-

I have been asked if i want one, im looking really just for a companion whippet-

What do you think? I would really like your opinions and advice :b

Cheers, mag x

That is not something i would deliberately do, but know plenty of breeders who have done it and worse; I have even seen a pedigreee where the sire was also the grand-sire and great grand-sire.

Brother and sister could theorically be geneticaly totally unrelated = as each takes half their genes from their father and other half from their mother; if each took the opposite half. In your case, would not worry and have a puppy if you like one and the parents.

If there are no genetic problems in the line I dont see why not, I'd snap it up personally!
