Afternoon All, my 10 month old Morkie nips my ankle when he wants attention. I’ve tried commands, air spray etc. He stops for a short while then starts again. Any suggestions please?

Please don't use air spray, what's happening here is very likely that he's trying to play - albeit not the kind of play you like - because that's how puppies play with each other. You don't want to discourage the play itself, just the way he is doing it. An air spray will also make you that nasty person that uses it, at a time when building his trust in you is really important.

We have an article on puppy biting here, I've linked it below. It is a good place to start but if anything is unclear or you think won't work for you, please shout out.

Consider yourself lucky that your dog is small. My Golden Retriever (a 70 pound girl) was a total landshark until she turned about 14 months old. Coincidentally, she began "getting the message" that her antics were not fun for me right after her first heat (she was spayed shortly thereafter). It took a combination exaggerated yelping out loud when she used her teeth too hard, and ending playtime for a while.

She is completely food/treat driven which makes it easier. However at 6.5 yrs old, I still have to say "no bite" when giving her a treat. She gets so excited that I have to break her train of thought. Then she gently takes the treat using her soft gums and not her teeth. (Goldens have a very soft mouth)

On a positive note; once she understood how to play with humans; she has become the gentlest dog that I ever owned.
