well folks its heading for that time of year again the show is 23rd may 2010 in the same place as last year between newcastle and kilkeel along the county down coast road,usual things for lurchers ,terriers, whippets, strongdogs and hounds.there will be stalls on the day food and a few other things in the pipeline,again all dogs racing must be muzzled(no muzzle no race)with strict booking in for the coursing card before 10.00 am .Showing to follow then the straight racing.. again as last time all proceeds to the community search and rescue,EVERYONE WELCOME

The Champion Terrier,Lurcher,Whippet,and possibly,Strong dog.Is also Qualified,for the 32 COUNTIE'S ALL IRELAND,CHAMPION OF CHAMPION'S.If you want a qualifier for this one Keeran.As are all show's throughout the whole of Ireland mate.Anyone wishing to make their show a qualifier.Then please pm me.

They dont hold an all ireland champion of champions.Where the qualifying dogs.Have been awarded the status of champion.At a show somewhere else.Within,the 32 counties.The all ireland.As it stands.Is a one day show.Where the winning dogs,have made it through to the final.By winning a certain class.ie,under,or over 23,rough or smooth,fox class,lamping dog,or whatever.Same goes for the whippets,and terriers.When all 3 show champions are then placed before the difeent judges.It is for the ALL IRELAND ( SHOW), CHAMPION,OF CHAMPIONS.This other Championship, will consist only,of dogs,that have been champion lurcher,terrier,or whippet.At a previous show,in ireland.(The whole of ireland).It wasnt my idea,and belongs to Terry Moore,and Joe Bogg's.It will also be the very last show of the year.Allowing all clubs,and show organiser's.The chance to put their show champions,forward.AS QUALIFIERS.So as ive said Sammy.You must have qualified.To lne up,with all the top dogs,throughout the year.There will also be a final chance to qualify.On the day.As there will be an ordinary,open show.As usual.With the champio,lurcher,terrier,and whippet.Going through,to their perspective champion of champions,line up.This show will cost a hell of a lot to put up Sammy.But that dont matter,with our club.As folk who have been before.Can vouch.Nowhere in the uk.Never mind Ireland.Have i seen over 60 large bags of meal,handed out to winners,of every class.But when there was surplus bags,at the end of the day.These were all given away,to whoever wanted them.The all ireland of the 80s.Was ran on a qualifying status.Then at the beginning of the 90s.It all changed,and the dog who was then crowned all irland show champion.Might never have won another show.North or south of the border,in it's entire life.They were still great shows mind,and we can take nothing away,from the effort,that Seamus and Matt put in.But what we are aiming for.Is different.We are inviting all clubs,in ireland,and all organiser's,of shows,throughout ireland,big,or small.Whether for charity,or other.To apply for a qualifier,and give their show champions,a crack at the big one.We will be doing the samr for the racing dogs.But this isn't finalised yet.As it might be held down south.Like Rosscrea,or somewhere.There's another meeting here,my the house,tonight.All i can do,is forward on,through here.What ive been asked to do Sammy.We are trying to do what lurcher world,and the likes of the NLnRC,have been doing for years.This is a chance for someone to have something realy big,on their mantlepiece,and if i know Terry Moore.Then the fire place wont even hold it,lol.Hope this has been clarified now.As to whats what.

Might i just add here,that my part in this wee club.Is to run the racing side of things.I think Kirsty n me.Did a fine job,last year,and can only improve.Each member has his own corner to look after.Thats how a team works.When we find ourselves at a loose end,then we lend a hand to whoever needs it.But only,when our own corner,has been done,and dusted.As i said.My other wee part,is keeping all this crap on here,up todate.

Is the community rescue service a local mountain rescue?

its a voluntary organization that is an urban and rural search and rescue team,they will go anywhere in northern ireland under any circumstances

just an update so far. there is a charity auction night in the local bar the night before the show and there is camping facilities at the showground for anyone who wants to camp,trailers with the dogs can be left safly in the farm yard and the farmer also runs a boarding kennel and is goin to come to me with a show rate also.it was a great night last year
