Hello, 1175546_10202092962073527_1995776024_n copy.jpg

I have a 6 year old American cocker spaniel who has been well socialised since 12 weeks old (we got him at 8 weeks from a good reputable, pedigree breeder), he went to training classes with other dogs for a year and has always had his 'doggy best friends'. I work at a pet centre and for the last year he has come to work with me and gets on well with all the dogs that come in.

However, we moved house about 2 and a half weeks ago and I bought a 'DAP' diffuser before we moved which uses an artificial formula of a mother dogs pheromone (used for calming) as he got anxious about the move - He had bad diarreah for a few days whilst the house was being packed up.

For the past week, he has been aggressive towards other dogs. Not all dogs, but most dogs (Both sexes). He will growl at them and then lunge for them, he even did it to a large st bernard male. If he doesn't growl at them, then his body language is very stiff, like he's a statue and he puts his tail in between his legs and his head up.

Its awful to see and causing me a lot of worry as he's a lovely dog. He hasn't got a problem with humans, children or anything. He's just developed this aggression towards some dogs.

Has anyone got any helpful advice?
Anything would be appreciated.
Thank you

I should also mention - We are having to stay in rented at the moment until our new house is ready. Which does mean we have moved from a 5 bed house to a 1 bed apartment.

Dog do not become suddenly aggressive , or aggressive for no reason, please get him checked by the vet .
