and Benjamin Fairweather is back in bunny rehab  he's been rather bitey and aggressive so he has a new temporary pad....he also gets to exercise in another room but this is his own little padded cell.

thanks.

Blackberry and Moo are two rex bunnies and rex rabbits tend to suffer sore hocks due to the lack of thick fur on their hind feet...so they need deep soft bedding to help keep the soreness to a minimum.

the floor of their pen is thick lino/Tesco camp bed rolls/bin liners/newspaper/three layers of bath towels and three layers of fleece blankets and i still have to apply alittle sudocrem to their feet to keep the soreness down.

they are fab natured rabbits but i wouldn't have rex buns again simply due to the sore foot issue,it must be really uncomfortable.

Do you have whippets as well? Does it not drive them crazy having to co-exist with those rabbits? My neighbour has a rabbit which runs loose in the garden for most of the day and when i let my dogs out they go wild if they can see it moving through the slats in the fence. Luckily there is a six foot fence built onto concrete separating our gardens!

Thats a fab set up for the rabbits...dont think mine would survive long in the house... (w00t) with my three....

yeah i have two whippets a whippet x jrt a boxer and a beagle.

the whippets and the whippet x just aren't interested in the buns or my guinea pigs.in fact Badger is positively scared of them.

the beagle spends most of his time trying to work out how to get in the pen and steal the rabbits carrots and their dry food..if i drop any he eats it

my boxer bitch is a bit obsessed with my six guinea pigs and she certainly would like to snack on them so i just shoo her away if she gets interested......however my husband didn't shut the spare room door the other evening and my boxer shut herself in the room with the bunnies....she sniffed them and looked at them but then stood at the door whinging to be let out.

the wierd thing is, when we are out all the dogs go after squirrels and wild bunnies and cats given half a chance but seem to see the animals at home as different.

mind you, i'm always pretty careful after all they're dogs and they are capable of anything (w00t)
