My posts are disappearing. Several have gone over the past week. I KNOW that two of them were on K9 because I went back onto the thread and checked that they were there but then they have magically disappeared.

It's your age luv

:D It could be Vicky. It's most weird. At first I thought that I was doing something wrong so I started to check to make sure that they were on the board and they were.

It's most odd.

Impossible to check on this unless I know exactly what thread the post was in, where in the thread it appeared and what it said - then I stand some chance of being able to find the post in the database & trying to understand why it isn't showing.

I've had no other reports - so it might be age :huggles:

Actually I think it may have happened again to Beejay, she had posted at 1am last night in reply to donations thread, she was praising the success of South Cots club if I remember rightly and I've noticed it's gone?

Hope this helps :)

Actually, another member mentioned that she'd replied to the nail clipping thread, but then her post wasn't there... but she thought she'd made a mistake  so maybe it's not just Beejay?

The computers are taking over, and K9 has become self-aware...

According to the logs that post was deleted by Beejay herself at 3.14 this morning (w00t)

Yeah I changed my mind about it. I thought that it might be taken the wrong way and twisted back against me. It was in praise of SC but these days so much that people say gets taken the wrong way. :( So best to say nothing at all. After all I can always say it to their faces.

Posts that I know were on K9 and have disappeared have been one that I posted immediately after Hannah's original post on the donations thread. Saying about how nice the rosettes are that she buys.

Also on another thread in general discussion whippets about getting multiple young dogs. That one was on there because I checked to see that it was. Yet by yesterday evening it too had gone. :(

There were some others too going back over a week. I can't remember in which threads I posted them. At the time I thought that I'd done something wrong. So I've been making a point of checking to see if my posts are on the board. It's most odd. The board kinda hangs at the time of my posting them but they are on the board the first time I look for them.

3.14 am eh Nigel. That's where finishing a good book get you. No sleep.

OK, I've looked at the posts and the details are

Original post made 25 September at 7.29 PM -

http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index....9&st=0&p=180676

(note the p=180676 at the end - that's post number 180676)

The next post showing in that thread was at 7.34 PM -

http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index....9&st=1&p=180678

(post number 180678)

Post numbers get allocated sequentially - so there is a possibility that your post was post number 180677.

However, looking at the raw database I find there is a post number 180677 made at 7.32 PM

http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index....0&st=0&p=180677

So, I don't know. Everything looks ok and there seems to be no evidence of any dissapearing post. They all seem to be present and correct - I suppose one possibility is a bug in the software & the topic number 180677 overwrote your topic. I've checked with the software developers & there are no reported problems like that - so it's a mystery.

How long after you made the post can you confirm it was definitely there?

I'll keep a close eye on what I post Nigel and if it happens again then I'll let you know right away and with the details.

Thanks for looking. It's most odd.
