ok ive cut and pasted this froma post i made on someone elses thread so i appologise now for my stupidity, i put it in the wrong place not sure were i should put this but have joined cos someone told me i could get some advice here. so please forgive if im in the wrong place and if i am can u dierect me to the right place

my puppy is not well. When i say puppy he is a 10 mth old labrador.

Normally he is really boisterous and wants to play all the time. He hasn`t eaten for the last two days and only had little bits of water. He`s even refused his favourite treats.

He looks quite sad and pitiful right now . He hasn`t been sick or anything he just seems really flat and no energy.

We tried his fave game , fetch bring leave and get a treat , but he`s not really interested. He tried a few times but it was like more to please us than because he wanted to.

He was ok on his walk but maybe not quite so eager, not pulling and tugging as much as he normally does. Thought maybe it was the fireworks upsetting him but they`ve been going off round here for ages and he`s never been bothered by them, he`s never shown any concern for them except maybe barking a few times cos he wants to " get at em " but he`s not even doing that now and theres loads going off right now.

Any ideas please, i love my puppy so much.

Thinking maybe i should take him to the vets tomorrow but theres nothing specific if you know what i mean.

Its more that I know somethings wrong but not sure. Bless him, wish puppies could tell us where it hurts. sad. :(

I agree the with the others, I would take him to the vet

Good luck and welcome to K9 :luck: :luck:

Let us know how you get on :)

poor you :(

its horrible when they are ill , as you say they cant tell us whats wrong.

i agree . id take him to the vets today , good luck and welcome to k9

A ten month old labrador that doesn't want to eat or play doesn't sound right at all, I'd definitely get him to the vet as soon as possible. It maybe nothing much, but for peace of mind get him checked over.

Here's hoping he's bouncing around as normal soon. :))

i agree with the others u should take him to the vet asap. the fact that he is so lathargic without being sick is quite worrying. please let us know how u get on :huggles: :huggles:

Many thanks for all your kind responces. The good news is he got up hungry this morning and is almost back to his normal naughty self, very playful very mischievious very much the puppy we knew. Not sure what it was ( someone suggested a cold?) but he`s definately on the up.

Thanks for the warm welcome to , will definately keep popping in here , seems a nice friendly place

have attatched pic of the "patient"
