I have never had a dog that is so utterly devoted to me, and I love him!
Yesderday I took all my dogs Woody and Bobby and my two beddy whippets Bibi and Flax out for a run round the woods by my house, I've been working hard on Bibi's re-call with a high frequency whistle recently and was hoping to put it into practice. So off we all went armed with the whistle and a pocket full of sausages........
.................2 hours I waited for her!!! 2 hours while the whippies and I sat around in the rain waiting for her to be tired enough to catch- the whistle and the sausages made NO difference AT ALL! Anyway after 2 hours I went off round the edge of the woods yet again to try and find her, I left Tom (OH) with Flax and the whippies to wait. While I walked on Bibi ran into Tom, so let old wobbly woody off his lead so he could catch her. Apperently Woody shot off in the direction I had gone, I arrived back to thankfully see Bibi on a lead, but oh no where was my woody? I whistled and called, and along he came as fast as his long old legs could carry him, he must have retraced my steps exactly trying to find me. My devoted dog had thought I'd left him, he ran up into my arms and I fed him sausages for all the effort he'd gone to as it was a long way for an old dog like him to run
Now thats devotion, he and Bobby are the best dogs ever - in my eyes anyway
