Poor Albie's managed to get a stick wound! :( I don't usually rush mine to the vets when they're cut but he had a fever and was shaking. I also wondered if he'd hurt his shoulder as he was walking in a very peculiar manner! They'd left it 24 hours for the fever to break and he was in today for stitches and an xray. He's come back from the vets with a drain poor lad! :( He's a bit down and dejected - so am I after paying the bill! (w00t) Still, at least he's ok. :sweating: The xray was clear but the stick (I didn't see it happen but it must have been a stick cos there are loads in the garden) had made a pocket under his skin, hence the pain in his shoulder when he walked.

I thought I'd share the photos of my poor baby with you. Don't look if you're eating your tea! (w00t)

That looks really nasty, poor boy. :( I worry every time mine start charging about in the garden with a stick but there's not a lot you can do to stop them really! Hope Albie's feeling better soon. :huggles:

Awww poor Albie that looks really sore :(

A bit of lavender oil around the wound might put him off licking it :)

Sending lots of :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: for a speedy recovery

Those drains always look so unsightly. (w00t) Ive had several of those mainly on poor Chip when I had him - usually dog attacks. :(

Its amazing how well they do heal up and after the hair grows over I bet you will hardly notice.

Get Well Albie :luck: :luck: :huggles:
