Our old lady of the house has started growing what I call "corns" in her

pads on one front leg - they have to be quite painful to her because

she carries her leg while on the hard floors - outside on grass and soft

dirt she uses it quite a bit - is there anything I can put on them or something

to remove them so she is not just hobbling around 3 legged all the time -

other than that she rules the other 4 all the time - Vets here say they can

remove them surgically but that they will just come back and a waste of

time and money -

any advise would be appreciated

Hi dwight,

we had a corn problem a few years back with one of our bitch's, our vet cut them out then burnt the root to kill it.

the problem is the root of a corn attaches itself to a blood supply so unless the vets gets all the root they will grow back.

after the treatment our bitch never has any further problems and showed no sign of laimness once the wound had heald after a couple of weeks.
