Hi , I’m Barry. Looking for tips on how to sort out a problem with our Staffordshire dog. We have also have a Yorkshire terrier. Every night before bedtime the staffy eats her dry food and is sick all over the floor, the Yorkshire terrier then eats it. As I’m gong to bed I hear her eating it, then she drinks the water as fast as possible and just sicks it all up. I have had her checked out at the vets who basically say it’s behavioural and just “one of those things” they said they could run numerous tests but the likely outcome would probably be inconclusive.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

I am literally losing my mind with it, it happens every night. Don’t know what to do for the best.

To add..

we put their food out first thing in t morning , then again just before bed (we’ve always done this with them with no issues) but open to any suggestions / changes

Sorry, because you refer to both as "she", I'm not totally sure what's happening. So - staffy eats, regurgitates (as opposed to vomits, or is it digested?), yorkie eats the regurgitated food. Does one then drink and be sick again?

I think I'd be looking for another vet.

Is this a new development with being sick? How old are your dogs? Have you changed the dry food brand lately?
Are your dogs neutered? Does this happen any other time of the day and are they feeding this dry food then too?
