Hi, i normally post on the lurchur section, but today i was gifted a whippet, full KC papers, and i need some advice. I intend to take him ferreting, and also to race him, and would like to know who to contact in the north bucks area regarding this. I have some breeding details, and any opinions of this will be gladly recieved.

Sire:Real McCoy

Dam:savernake suberu legacy(savernake red alert)

He has been a pet dog, but deemed too strong for the owner, whatever that means, so i think he will benifit from the stimulation that working will give him.

The Real McCoy has more than proved himself on the race track and the Breeders of the Saversnake dogs have bred some realy good dogs (and still are)

i'd definatly give it a go at racing.

What about South Oxford WRC, which is actually at Horspath, just off the Oxford ring road? Is he on the big side (if he is 'strong'?), as there used to be a lot of larger whippets there (haven't been for a few years though, and there are different people running now apparently).

2005 schedule

Also BSFA lurecoursing which will be near Newbury next year:

As long as you have a ped whippet, you can take your lurcher along for fun too, although it can be difficult to find a running partner as not that many lurchers come.
