What a lovely little man - those lugs are very funny but so cute  I bet he is lush when he grows up to be a big boy!

Hello and welcome to the madhouse :D

he is beautiful...love his ears

Aww he is gorgeous! I love his ears in the first pic  :huggles:

Aww thankyou very much for the warm welcome. Yes he is cute and i love him to bits. Everyone who sees him comments on his ears  I was worried weither i was doing something wrong at first as his coat was so course and dull, but now hes getting his new coat it is so shiny and soft. We begin training classes on Monday mainly to socialise him as much as i can.

Thankyou again

Just seen this thread!!

Welcome to K9 :D

I have two GSDs as well as my whippets and lurchers. Your little chap is very cute - he looks more GSD than Akita

oh hes gorgeous! my old gsds ears were like that when he was first brought home, so comical :D if his coat ends up anything like shadows was, get him used to brushing now, make it something enjoyable too. shadow was a longhaired x shorthaired gsd, and he was just a giant fur ball, especially his haunches. couldve stuffed an entire sofa with what got brushed out each summer. codliver oil is good for their coats, or sardines. mine love getting sardines in tomato sauce one or twice a week. not sure whether its the actual taste (sod eating them, the smell is vile to me lol) that makes them gulp it down, or because they see it as human food, coming from a tin etc. i suspect theyre perverse enough for that to indeed be the case...if and when he needs bathing, make sure its not too often unless really needed. a friend baths her collie x ebt every night, and it does effect her skin, ie dandruff and dull fur. bathing strips away natural oils. i had tea tree dog shampoo recommended to me and its done the job so far.

looking to more pics as your lovely lad grows up x

Thankyou for the tips Lalena I have been having trouble with his skin. He nats and scrats all the time. The vet said that he doesnt have a problem with his skin and his frontline is up to date. So i shall try the teatree shampoo and sardines.

I shall be posting new pics shortly.

regards

Gina
