Hi everybody, My name is Brian, 77yrs old, currently living in Shrewsbury. My wife, Marina, and I have always had dogs, including several rescues.

We now have a 3 yr old "Chonzer" called Bella and a 14 month old "Cavapoo" called Teddy. Yes I know 2 beautiful mongrels.

Anyway, we have always wormed our dogs regularly without problems. I have just wormed both dogs,

two days between them and both were sick about 4 hours afterwards. Seeing as the pup is a new addition, is it possible they both had worms which caused them to be sick. Bella was done first and has shown no further problems. The pup was only done today, appears to be quite well since being sick.

Drontal was used.

What do you think? Brian

It a fairly common thing that dogs are sick after worming, you sound experienced so you've got the dosage correct??? If they are sick again try a different product next time maybe.

I agree with Lurcherman. It is quite common for dogs to be sick after worming. There is a time period after which it is safe to assume the dosage has been absorbed but I am sorry I cannot remember what it is! Give your vet practice a ring they will probably know or read the leaflet that comes with the pills?

I would check with the breeder of the new pup to see which wormer they used and how often.
