hi everyone, I had a call from Muriel today. We have purchased a new printer/scanner on behalf of the BWRA. The cost was a £99, amd Muriel said it will print 14 sheets per minute, so that along with the other portable printer that the BWRA has should hopefully enable us to get the programmes printed a lot quicker.

Also the suggestion from a couple of members about getting the pups and scratch and yearlings programme printed and the racing started while the adult programme is being written will be given a try.

I am prepared to listen to any members ideas for the good of racing as is the rest of the committee if it will create a better atmosphere for racing, we have some brilliant whippets within our sport and they give us all such a buzz when they race their hearts out for their owners, so shouldn't we as members be doing our bit to promote the good side of whippet racing.

I look forward to seeing those of you who will be travelling down South to the open at Thurrock, and those of you who cannot make it, I look forward to seeing you at Dawdon for the Lord Byron.

kind regards to you all Doreen

Great Stuff Doreen!

You can only do what the members are asking, if it doesn't work at least no-one can say you didn't try :D

Yes i will echo Vickys words Great stuff ! Give the members what they want and if it dont work nothing lost------ if it does all well and good !

Yes we second that too

I think that by showing that the you are at least listning to members will generate a lot of goodwill for the committee and show you really are trying to work in our interests. :))

The printer will speed up the delay between weigh in ending and racing starting which causes a lot of complaining. If racing starts earlier and on time everyone will be a lot less fed up if racing does drag on for reasons outside of the committes control.

Well done the committee, we are looking forward to the Byron, i was talking to Tanya yesterday and asked her if i should bring the fed printer along in case you need it too.

Dawdon track looks very good well done to all their workers.

I saw the new brwa lure at Melton the other week, Doreen could you email me with where you bought it as gaz would like to purchase one the same.

One other added great benefit from purchasing a new and speedy printer will mean that Muriel will be able to get out and about quicker too-selling her raffle tickets- (w00t)

How about doing the double---Go one better and get Muriel a pair of roller blades-? lol

Karen/Harry ;)

I think we have a skate board laid about some where, with the knee and elbow pads might even be able to find a safety helmet lol

Safety is a must for Muriel one Gem we cant afford to damage

I think she should be bubble wrapped as well just in case!

picture that ???????????????????
