Hi

I've got a couple of Whippets both just over a year old. I'm looking to introduce them into racing, for fun only or other Whippet activites in the Wiltshire and Hampshie area. If anybody knows of anything happing please let me know.

There are 2 racing clubs you could go to. Andover and West Somerset (its near Taunton). I'll email you the secretaries telephone numbers.

The dogs will love it and I hope you do too.

There's Sussex Longdogs as well. They begin racing again in April I believe. All sorts of dogs race there as well as lurchers. I've some friends that have been and they really had a good day out.

The other thing that you could do is go lure coursing. I've put a link to their web site in the coursing forum under lure coursing. <g>

If you could e-mail / post the numbers for Andover and West Somerset that would be great as Andover is real close to me.

I've heard of Whippet racing at Fordingbride does any one have any info for them.
